Account management

You can easily manage your user account and settings when you are logged in to Viaplay on a computer or via a browser on a tablet or on your phone.

Once you are logged in to the homepage, hover over your name in the upper right corner and click on Settings. Here you have the possibility to change your password and username, change payment method and much more. Read more about how to do it below.


When you create an account, you choose an email address that you log in with. We also send important information such as order confirmation and receipts to the same address.

If you want to change the username/email address on the account, click Update account details. You will also receive a confirmation email to your old address with information about the change.

If you had access to Premier Player prior to the 1st of November, you will have received email about the changes. Your username is the same as when you logged in to Premier Player, and all you have to do now is to set a new password. If you can’t find the email, you can reset your password here.


Start by going to Settings and clicking on Change password, enter your current password and choose a new one. When you change your password, your other devices will be logged out within 24 hours and you may therefore be asked to log in again within the next 24 hours.

Forgot your password? You can order a new password here. Fill in your email and wait for a recovery email.

Payment method

Select Change Payment Method from the menu to update your payment details. You can choose between direct card payments or Paypal. If you choose Paypal, you will be taken to Paypal to login.

If you choose Debit card, you must fill in all the fields and confirm.

Reasons why a card is not accepted can be due to the following reasons:

  • The card is not a Visa or Mastercard.
  • The card is not issued by a bank in Canada.
  • If you are trying to complete the order on a mobile platform, try using a computer instead. If you’re already using a computer, try a different browser.
  • For Visa cards, “Verified by Visa” needs to be activated, alternatively “Mastercard Secure Code” for cards from Mastercard. Talk to your bank or check the settings from the internet bank if you are unsure about this.
  • The card has a block that does not allow internet purchases, contact the bank/issuer to lift the block – alternatively do it yourself through your internet bank.
  • The card has insufficient funds. Even at the start of a trial period, it is required that there is at least 1CAD on the card. The amount is reserved and refunded we check the validity of the card.


Change subscription

To change your subscription type, select Manage Subscriptions from the menu. Here you can end your current subscription or switch to something else. If you choose to upgrade the package, the changes will take place immediately and you will receive a refund for the remaining days of your previous package. If you choose to switch to a smaller package, the switch will take place at the next payment.

If you pay through iTunes, the changes must be made through them. You must cancel your package before you can start a new one. Read more about how to cancel your subscription via iTunes here.


Under Purchase history, you will find all receipts for your purchases, both for your subscription and your single purchases such as any Pay-Per-View events that we may offer. These can also be downloaded as PDF files.


From the Communication section, you can change settings on whether you want to receive any newsletters from us. If you choose to not receive any extra communications, then we will not send e.g. newsletters or personalized offers. ATTENTION! All customers will regardless receive mandatory emails about e.g. changes to the service or to our general terms and conditions.

Change billing date

You can change your billing date here

You can only change the billing date to today’s date, e.g. if you want to move the billing date to the 25th of each month, you must make the change on the 25th. What happens then is that we end your current subscription and activate a new subscription.

You will then be charged for the coming month and also receive an automatic refund on your remaining days of your previously paid period.
