Purchases on Apple devices

You can create a user account and obtain a Viaplay subscription directly in your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV). You will be charged through iTunes and when changing or cancelling the subscription, this must also be done in the iTunes settings.

Subscription via iPhone/iPad

You can get Viaplay directly through your iPhone/iPad by downloading the Viaplay app from the App Store.

  • New customer: select Get Viaplay, choose the package you want and proceed to create an account” You don’t need to add a payment method because your subscription and charges are linked to your Apple ID. Now you can log in to Viaplay on all our supported devices.
  • Do you have an account with Viaplay? Start by logging in to Viaplay. If you are not prompted to choose a package, click on Account at the bottom right. There you can choose a package and start watching. When you start a subscription, you will be charged via iTunes and any changes to the subscription is done via Apple ID settings. However, if you have used another payment method on Viaplay before, you can choose to continue with the same payment details and keep the possibility to manage your account directly via our website.

  • Viaplay Total (film, series & sports)

Please note that one-time purchases (possible Pay-Per-View events) are not included in our monthly subscriptions.

Your subscription is renewed monthly and you can end it whenever you want, read more below.

Cancel/change package

Cancel your package
To cancel your package on your iPhone/iPad, just follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings on your device and click on your Apple ID/Name (at the top of the screen) > select iTunes & App Store.
  • Click on “Apple ID: example@mail.com”, View Apple ID and sign in.
  • Under Subscriptions, you can manage your subscriptions started through iTunes and cancel your package. After termination, you can continue watching until your paid period is over.
  • Note that you should cancel subscriptions through iTunes at the latest 24 hours before renewal

Change subscription type
When you want to change your package, you first need to cancel your current subscription according to the steps above. When the subscription has expired, you can log in to Viaplay and start a new package. It’s not possible to end an iTunes subscriptions immediately.
