Watching content simultaneously  

Your Viaplay user account is personal, and you can currently stream movies and series on two devices at the same time. Sports events are however limited to one (1) per account. Read more about the specifications of different types of content below.  

Series and Movies: You can currently watch movies and series online on two (2) different devices at the same time. This means that if you have two (2) streams running and try to start a third, you will get a message asking you to close one of them. 

Sports: All sports events are limited to one (1) device at a time per account – you can still stream 2 different sports events simultaneously.  

For example, you cannot watch the same match on more than one (1) device but it’s possible to stream two different matches on two (2) different devices at the same time. 

I got a message “this stream is being watched on another device”

Sports events are limited to one (1) device per stream. If you got this message, it means the same stream is already being watched on another device on your account. Close the stream on the first device in order to start it on the second one. If you get the error message even after closing the first stream, we recommend logging out from the service and restarting the application.  

Are you sharing your account with a friend? Accounts are personal and should not be shared outside of your household. To create a new account, start by logging out -> go to https://viaplay.com/gb-en/get-sport, and choose the packages most suited for you. 

Don’t know who’s watching the other stream? By changing your password on our website, your account will be logged out of all devices within the next 24 hours. You can change your password by pressing here. 

Watch content offline

You can also download movies and series to Offline mode on mobile devices (phone/tablet), thus you have the option to move one of the broadcasts to offline mode. Sports broadcasts cannot be downloaded offline, read more here.
