Audio and video settings
In this article, you can read more about the audio and video settings supported on Viaplay. These settings depend on your device, and you can read more about your specific device here.
Supported video resolutions:
Watch videos in the highest resolution supported by your device, up to UHD/4K. We support video with up to 50 fps for smoother live sports experiences.
Supported audio formats:
Experience powerful sound with Dolby Digital Plus in our movies and series. Most live sports use stereo audio mixed in AAC. However, this will gradually change as better audio becomes available. Some headphones support immersive audio options such as Apple’s Spatial Audio.
We currently offer thousands of titles with Dolby Audio in 5.1, and almost all HD titles are delivered with 5.1-mixed audio from our studios – meaning the number of titles with Dolby Audio is continuously increasing.
