Why is a series or a movie no longer available on Viaplay?

Rights for series and movies are temporary, which means once the rights for a series or a movie end it will no longer be available for watching. 

When a series or a movie is about to leave Viaplay, we notify you about it by publishing a countdown which is visible on the serie or movie and shows how much time there is left before it’s removed. 

Sometimes movies that we no longer have available as part of a subscription become instead available on the Leigja og kaupa-category.
