Fix the error “Your payment card could not be verified”
If you receive the message “Your payment card could not be verified”, you need to check the following:
- Check that 3D Secure is enabled on the card
Some cards require 3D Secure for the payment to be approved. 3D Secure may be called:
- Verified by Visa (Visa)
- Mastercard SecureCode (Mastercard)
1. Log in to your online bank.
2. Open the settings for the relevant card.
3. Check that 3D Secure is enabled.
If 3D Secure is not enabled, you need to activate it in your online bank. If you cannot find the setting, contact your bank and ask them to enable 3D Secure on your card.
- Check that there are funds on the card
-
- Make sure there are sufficient funds on the card.
- Ensure that at least 1 SEK is available, even when starting a trial period.
The system temporarily reserves 1 SEK to verify the card. The amount is automatically released once the card has been checked.
- If the issue persists
If the payment still does not work after following all steps:
-
- Use another Visa or Mastercard issued by a Swedish bank.
- Contact your bank and ask them to check why the 3D Secure verification is being blocked.
Once verification works, you should be able to complete the purchase.
