Manage package

Here you can read how to change your Viaplay package, when the change takes effect, and how your payment is affected. You can change your package by signing in to your account on Viaplay.com using a computer, mobile, or tablet.

Before you start
You cannot change your package on Viaplay.com if:

  • you pay via Apple (iTunes), or
  • you have Viaplay through a TV provider or a channel package.
  • you have a commitment period on your Viaplay package. Read more below.

In these cases, the subscription is managed by an external party and must be changed there.

How to change your package

  1. Go to Viaplay.com in a web browser.
  2. Sign in to your Viaplay account.
  3. Open My account.
  4. Select Manage package
  5. Choose the package you want to switch to.
  6. Confirm the change.
Upgrade

An upgrade means that you switch to a package with more content than your current package and at a higher price than your current package.

  • Takes effect immediately.
  • You are charged for the new package.
  • Any remaining time on your previous package is automatically refunded.
Downgrade

A downgrade means that you switch to a package with less content and at a lower price than your current package.

  • Takes effect from the next billing date.
  • Until then, you keep your current package.
Commitment period

If you have a package with a commitment period, you cannot downgrade to another package during the commitment period. If you choose to cancel the package, it will remain active until the commitment period has ended. After that, the package will be terminated automatically.

If you have a package with a commitment period and wish to upgrade to access content not included in your package, please contact customer service for further assistance, as you cannot upgrade a package with a commitment period yourself.
