Change password and email address
Below you will find instructions on how to change your password, how to request a new one if you have forgotten your old password, and how to change the email address linked to your Viaplay account.
Request a new password if you’ve forgotten the old one
Start by doing one of the following:
- Click “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page.
- Go to this page to request a new password.
Then continue with the following steps:
- Enter the email address linked to your Viaplay account.
- Click “Send me an email”.
- Check your inbox and follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
Tip: If the email doesn’t appear, check your spam folder.
Change password
How to do it:
- Sign in to your Viaplay account using your email address and current password.
- Select the profile icon in the top right corner and choose My account.
- Select Change password under Account details.
- Enter your current password, choose a new password, and confirm it by entering it again.
When you change your password, you will be signed out of your account on other devices you are logged into within 24 hours. You will therefore be asked to sign in again on those devices.
Change email address
Follow these steps to change the email address linked to your Viaplay account:
- Sign in to your Viaplay account using your current email address and password.
- Select the profile icon in the top right corner and choose My account.
- Select Change email under Account details.
- Enter the email address you want to change to along with your password and click Send.
You will receive a confirmation email sent to your old email address with information about the change.
